He has worked in Accountancy for 50 years! The first 25 years of which was in various commercial companies. He then switched to running his own accounting practice, Trevor Powel Accountancy, which he ran from home. Finally in October 2018 he fulfilled his lifelong ambition of owning a High Street practice. Accounting Now was opened on the High Street in Uckfield, with a little help from his granddaughter who cut the ribbon.

He does not just provide a Tax compliance service, but Trevor looks at supplying proactive advice throughout the whole year. He cares for his clients and wants the best for them. He will give you individual advice in plain English that you can understand. Trevor is at the heart of this small High Street business and his honest expert advice accrued from being in the industry can help improve any business and help them grow. 

When not working Trevor enjoys a Pint of Harvey’s Sussex Ale, watching the Rugby, spending time with the family and walking his dog Ted.

Laura graduated from Brighton University with a BSc (Hons). She joined the team in 2021 having worked as cabin crew for British Airways for 15 years, so she knows a thing or two about customer service and making a brew. Laura has a dual role within the office. This includes assisting Trevor with the never-ending administration, whilst studying AAT and helping with accounts tasks. 

When not working Laura is spending time with family or training for her latest challenge.
